Materials You Will Need
Chunky or super bulky weight yarn (Size 6) in the following colors:
Ocean Blue (for the top of the body and fins)

6.5mm (K) crochet hook
One pair of 14mm or 16mm black safety eyes
Polyester fiberfill stuffing

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. The Main Body (Starting with Blue Yarn)
We will start at the top of the whale and work our way down in continuous rounds.
Round 1: Make a magic ring and work 6 sc into it. (6)
Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
Round 3: 1 sc, inc - repeat around. (18)
Round 4: 2 sc, inc - repeat around. (24)
Round 5: 3 sc, inc - repeat around. (30)
Rounds 6-10: Sc in each stitch around for 5 rounds. (30)
Note: Insert your safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9, about 10 stitches apart.
2. The White Belly
Round 11: Switch to White yarn. Working in the BLO (Back Loops Only) for this round, sc in each stitch around. (30)
Round 12: 3 sc, dec - repeat around. (24)
Round 13: 2 sc, dec - repeat around. (18)
Stuff the whale firmly with fiberfill here!
Round 14: 1 sc, dec - repeat around. (12)
Round 15: Dec around. (6) Fasten off, weave the tail through the remaining stitches, and pull tight to close the bottom.
3. The Side Fins (Make 2, Blue Yarn)
Leave a long starting tail for sewing. Chain 5.
Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, hdc in the next, dc in the next, and work 3 dc into the last chain.
Fasten off, leaving another long tail. Sew one fin to each side of the whale, right where the blue and white yarns meet.
4. The Tail (Blue Yarn)
Chain 8.
Sl st in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in the next, hdc in the next.
Slip stitch into the next chain. (This forms the center dip of the tail).
Hdc in the next, sc in the next, sl st in the last chain.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail, and sew securely to the back of the whale on the blue section.
